Vice President of Development
Cara Bahr serves as Vice President of Development at the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, bringing a powerful blend of financial expertise, strategic leadership, and deep community commitment to her role.
Previously, Cara was the CEO of YWCA Saskatoon, where she led nearly six years of significant growth and transformation. During her tenure, the organization expanded transitional housing for women and children, advanced the development of new childcare spaces, successfully navigated the challenges of the pandemic, and led a landmark $19 million capital campaign. Her leadership has had a lasting impact on families across Saskatoon.
A Chartered Professional Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Cara is known for her steady, values-driven approach. She pairs strong financial discipline with genuine compassion for the people and communities she serves. Her leadership is grounded in sound strategy, clear accountability, and authentic relationship-building.
At the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, Cara is committed to strengthening cancer care across the province. Her experience in campaign leadership, governance, and donor stewardship supports the Foundation’s mission to enhance cancer care for the people of Saskatchewan and ensure patients and families receive the support they need, close to home.
