Alternative Ways to Donate During Postal Strike

A national strike by Canada Post employees began on Friday, November 15. As a result, mail services across the country are currently disrupted, which may affect the delivery of mailed donations to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.

Here are alternative ways to continue supporting cancer patients in our province during this period:

  1. Online Donations
You can make a secure donation online through our online giving page. This is the quickest and easiest way to contribute, ensuring your gift reaches us without delay. You will automatically receive an electronic tax receipt for your donation via email.
  1. Phone Donations
If you prefer to donate by phone, please call us Toll-Free at 1-844-735-5590. We would be pleased to assist you with processing your gift securely. Tax receipts for phone donations will be mailed to you once postal services resume or can be sent electronically upon request.
  1. In-Person Donations
You are also welcome to drop off donations in person between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

In Regina, donations can be dropped off at our office, 200-4545 Parliament Avenue, or at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre inside the Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue.

In Saskatoon, donations can be dropped off at our office, 102-1848 McOrmond Drive, or at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre beside the Royal University Hospital, 20 Campus Drive.

Tax receipts for in-person donations will be mailed to you once postal services resume or can be sent electronically upon request. Please be sure to include a note with your cheque that states your intended designation and tax receipt preference.

  1. Gifts of Stocks & Securities – Deadline for 2024 is December 10th
To make a gift of stock or securities, please make use of our Gift of Securities form. For more information, please contact Jakki Crowe.
  1. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Wire Transfer
We accept donations via EFT or wire transfer. Please call us Toll-Free at 1-844-735-5590 for more information. Tax receipts will be mailed to you once postal services resume or can be sent electronically upon request.

Mailing Donations After the Strike
If you still wish to mail your donation, please consider delaying your postal submission until after the strike has ended. We will continue to accept mailed donations once regular postal services resume, and tax receipts will be issued accordingly.

Tax Receipt Information
Regardless of your chosen method of donation, all contributions made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan are eligible for a tax receipt. If you experience any delays in receiving your receipt due to the postal disruption, please rest assured that we will process and send out receipts as soon as possible.

We understand this disruption may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and continued support during this time. Your generosity plays a crucial role supporting cancer care in Saskatchewan.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing commitment to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.
