Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer

Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer

The Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer head-shaving event started in 1998. It began when Brayden Ottenbreit, a young boy from Yorkton, was diagnosed with cancer before his fourth birthday. To support him, his dad Greg, his uncle Grant, and a group of friends decided to shave their heads. Since then, Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer has raised over $1,500,000 for local cancer initiatives.

Over the last ten years, more than $987,220 has been donated to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan — over $566,720 through the Charity Charger Car Raffle and more than $420,500 through this event — all in support of cancer research and local cancer initiatives led by the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency right here in the province.
